The combined knowledge and experience of the Power Line Design team has seen us complete over three thousand projects since 2004 within all three Distribution Network Service Provider areas:  Essential Energy, Endeavour Energy and Ausgrid.

Power Line Design aims to complete designs in a timely and professional manner, adhering to Australian and Supply Authority standards whilst also addressing the needs and requirements of the customer.

Safe Design

Safe design is the integration of control measures early in the design process to eliminate or, if this is not reasonably practicable, minimise risks to health and safety throughout the construction and the life of the structure being designed.

To comply with WHS regulations, Power Line Design completes Safe Design Reports for all our Level 3 Designs. The report includes information on hazards and any conditions necessary to ensure a structure is designed to be without risk to a person’s health and safety when carrying out any workplace activity in relation to the structure’s construction, maintenance, use and demolition.

The benefits of safe design include:

  • Prevention of injury or illness through the early consideration of hazards
  • Innovation and creativity by improving the functionality and productivity of the design of the structure
  • Reduced costs through improvement of work processes, reduction of accidents, litigation and elimination of potential cost of retrofitting for safety

The PCBU client must provide the principle contractor with any information that they have in relation to hazards and risks at, or in the vicinity of the workplace where the construction work is being carried out.

Safe design is part of a wider set of design objectives which include practicability, aesthetics, cost and functionality.

Environment & Sustainability

Power Line Design is committed to fulfilling responsible environmental management, sustainability and protection for the natural environment in and around our workplace. We recognise our moral and legal responsibility to ensure our designs are developed to protect and enhance the environment, and our obligations to ensuring that our operations do not place the natural environment or local community at risk of harm.
